The Men Who Built America (History)

Stephen David, President and Executive Producer

In the span of four years, Stephen David has established a bustling production and post-production company that has seen a meteoric rise and continued yearly growth. 

Of his most recent credits, The Men Who Built America (History) is a story David has been waiting to tell since the mid-90s. David brought to fruition his vision of a hybrid documentary that joins his storytelling expertise with major effects not typically seen on television. In 2016, David received a WGA Award nomination for his writing on SDE's first fully-scripted mini-series, Sons of Liberty (History).

Prior to creating SDE, David crafted and produced the hit series Big Medicine (TLC), God or the Girl (A&E), and Bound for Glory (ESPN). In addition, David was part of the original creative team behind The Apprentice (NBC) and worked on Survivor (CBS). David is also an accomplished screenwriter, having written and sold scripts to world-renowned studios including: Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, MGM and Revolution.


Tim W. Kelly, Executive Vice President of Programming

Tim W. Kelly is an Emmy Award winning editor and producer with over 10 years of experience working in every genre of television, from docu-series and specials, to reality, sports, cooking, documentary, news magazine, promos and even commercials. Kelly has worked on all SDE projects, most recently serving as Co-Executive Producer and Lead Editor on Gold Fever (Discovery) The Men Who Built America and The World Wars (History). Before joining the team at SDE, he worked on a number of shows, including Wife Swap (ABC), Foodography With Mo Rocca (Cooking Channel), Yankees On Deck (YES Network) and Extra (NBC).

 

Zach Herrmann, Vice President of Development

Zach Herrmann is a writer and producer who has worked on an assortment of SDE shows since joining the company in 2013. Previously, Zach spent three years working at talent agency Don Buchwald and Associates. His short film Elijah the Prophet was the winner of the 2010-11 Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, and the film has since screened at festivals around the world.

 

Jordan Rosenblum, Vice President of Development

Jordan Rosenblum is an Emmy-nominated writer and producer, who has been with SDE since 2013. Prior to joining the company, Jordan worked in Development at Left/Right TV and received his MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute. While at AFI, Jordan worked in the writer's room at Mad Men
