WHO WE ARE

CEO

Stephen David

Over the span of ten years, Stephen David has established a bustling production and post-production company that has seen a meteoric rise and yearly growth. Launched in 2010, Stephen David Entertainment (SDE) – a Banijay Group Company – has emerged as a leader in high-end television production. In 2012, David ushered in a new TV genre, the “hybrid” docu-series, with SDE’s The Men Who Built America (History), which went on to win two Primetime Emmy® Awards with five total nominations. At the start of 2015, SDE premiered the scripted TV mini-series, Sons of Liberty (History), for which David received a WGA Award nomination. Currently, David has created an industry out of this new genre, with series such as World Wars (History), The American West (AMC), Frontiersman (History), Roman Empire (Netflix), American Genius (Nat Geo), and The Making of the Mob (AMC). His work also includes scripted series, such as the award-winning Sons of Liberty (History), and an array of critically acclaimed documentaries, including Jonestown: Terror in the Jungle (Sundance). David also continues to innovate as his company grows – with upcoming projects for Netflix, History, and Discovery.
